Langdon Hall, Ontario's premier wedding venue!

If you're getting married you could not choose a more perfect wedding venue than the historic Langdon Hall located in Cambridge, Ontario.

Langdon Hall is one of, if not the, premier wedding venues in all of Ontario.  I've shot many weddings there and I'm continuously impressed by the level of service that Diana and her team provide, their attention to detail and the beauty of the grounds themselves.

Langdon Hall is situated about an hour west of Toronto just outside of Cambridge, Ontario and only minutes from the 401 in a very secluded plot of land.   As you drive up the long driveway you weave your way through pine forests until you come around a corner and the magnificent main house is revealed.

Once the valet has parked your car, you have many choices as to where to start your visit.  In the main building is the main restaurant, the pub, 2 private dining areas with attached sunrooms (more on those later!) and several lounge areas.   Behind the building is the restaurant patio, the Cloisters guest room building and the beautiful old orchard where you can have your outdoor wedding ceremony secluded away from the other guests of the hotel.

The majority of the weddings happen in either the Orchard Room, which can hold around 70 people, or the brand new Firshade Room that was part of the massive expansion that Langdon Hall finished last year.   This new room is gorgeous and somehow they managed to make a brand new room feel just as elegant and timeless as the rest of the rooms.

Just off the Firshade Room is the also newly built Summer House which is a covered patio featuring beautiful wood timber construction and a fireplace.  It gets used a lot as ceremony site or for cocktails but I would love to see a full reception held there!

Here is the Summer house set up for a ceremony.

The Orchard Room is a beautiful space that is very secluded with floor to ceiling windows on two sides opening up onto a covered terrace overlooking the old orchard itself.  The three spaces (orchard, terrace and room) lend themselves perfectly to a ceremony, cocktails, reception flow for a wedding.

Here are a few pictures of cocktail hour on the terrace from a recent wedding.

Sometimes if you're having a smaller wedding finding a great venue can be tough but Langdon Hall has the perfect solution for you!  In the main building there are two private dining rooms, the Colonel Langdon's Room and The Red Room which can accommodate 22 and 14 people respectively.  Some of my favourite weddings at Langdon Hall have been those in the Colonel Langdon's Room... there's just something special about such intimate weddings

And of course, you can't really talk about Langdon Hall without talking about the food.  Langdon Hall consistency ranks as one of the top restaurants and hotels in all of Canada.  Chef Jason Bangerter and his team create an amazing menu with many of the ingredients grown and foraged on the property itself!  Don't laugh, but I've had their burger and it's probably the best burger I've ever had.

Most couples getting married at Langdon Hall choose to make a weekend of it and stay at the hotel the day before and after their wedding which gives them the chance to use some of Langdon Hall's many guest amenities including a full spa, pool & tennis courts, extensive gardens and walking trails.

They'll also be able to get ready for their wedding in one of the amazing bridal suites (The Pine and Orchard suites) that Langdon Hall has to offer.  These two hotel rooms are simply massive featuring living rooms, dining areas, separate bedroom, multiple bathrooms and balconies.   The rooms are really stunning and make the perfect backdrop for photos as you get ready for your wedding.

Of course, as beautiful as Langdon Hall is I always am still focused on capturing those timeless moments.
