Andrea + Chris

Spent an amazing evening in Toronto with Andrea + Chris for their engagement session along the Toronto waterfront.   We hit some great locations along Queens Quay, Polson Pier and the Music Gardens.

Even though they live in Victoria, Andrea + Chris have an amazing wedding planned for this summer at One King West... one of the premier Toronto wedding venues.

Toronto Liberty Grand Wedding

Pauline and Jordan had an amazing day back in May for their Spring wedding in Toronto!

I started with the everyone getting ready at the Homewood Suites in Oakville.  It's always so great when the bride and groom are getting ready in the same location, it makes the the logistics of the morning so much easier!  Remember, you want your photographer taking pictures not stuck in traffic on your wedding day!

From there, we headed off to a beautiful wedding ceremony at the St Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church with Father Bernard officiating. 

For wedding portraits we started at the Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens in Mississauga and then hit a few of my favourite spots in Liberty Village.  It's always great when we can get a variety of locations and looks for the wedding portraits!

Liberty Grand is one of my favourite Toronto wedding venues and this wedding was no exception.   Farah from A Shahzadi Affair and the staff at the Liberty Grand did an amazing job as usual organizing and co-ordinating the entire day.

Ontario Farm Engagement

This was a fun one!  Rosemary and Terry are actually my next door neighbours and are getting married this august in their backyard.   

The wanted some pictures for their wedding invitations so we took Rosemary's 1979 Volkswagen Beetle out and around New Hamburg for some portraits at sunset.

York University Engagement Pictures

Jennifer + Alex

I met up with Jennifer and Alex at York University's Keele Campus for some engagement pictures.

It's actually the place where they first met, during frosh week their first year of university.  I love when we do engagement pictures in a place that has connection and meaning to a couple.

I also love photographing at universities since they almost always have such a great variety architectural styles and open spaces... plus, if you do it on a Sunday night they're pretty much a ghost town.

Jennifer and Alex are getting married this summer at the Peel Art Gallery & Museum Archives and the Mississauga Convention Centre.

Waterloo Wedding Photography

Kaylen + Robert  |  Federation Hall

Kaylen and Robert were married a couple weeks ago at the University of Waterloo Federation Hall.

We started the day off with Kaylen's hair and make up at a brand new new salon run by one of Kayla's friends.  After a quick trip up to Robert's house for some pics of him and his brother getting ready we headed to Waterloo Park for their first look and big reveal.   Then it was off to the University of Waterloo campus for some more wedding portraits and then we finished off at University of Waterloo Federation Hall for their wedding ceremony and wedding reception.

The cocktail hour featured an amazing tea bar by Distinctly Tea.

Kaylen and Robert surprised their guests by performing one of their favourite songs... they're both big metalheads!

The party continued with TheRealJonzo doing a great job DJ'ing the whole night.

Ontario Farm Engagement Session

Joanna + Kris

Here are some of my favourite photographs from Joanna + Kris' engagement session on a farm just outside of my hometown of New Hamburg in Southwestern Ontario.  I met Joanna though my work with the Community Players of New Hamburg so it was really great when she asked me to photograph her wedding.

Joanna + Kris are getting married next month, with a ceremony on the stage (of course!) at the Dunfield Theatre in Cambridge and a reception at the Waterloo Region Museum.

PWPC Spring Photo Contest

Was happy to get the news that one of my wedding photographs had placed in the Spring 2015 Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada contest in the Ceremony category.

I'm a sucker for motion in images so I really do love this picture from a  Toronto Orthodox wedding I shot last year as the wedding party circled the alter in the church.

Toronto Engagement Photography

Carolin + Anobel

Carolin + Anobel are actually getting married later this year in San Jose, California (really, really, really wish I could shoot their wedding!) but asked me to help out with some engagement pictures here in Toronto.  

We started out at the University of Toronto, where Carolin went to school.  I love the U of T campus as it has such  great mix of old and new architecture as well as lots of little nooks and crannies you can shoot in that have amazing light.  

From there we headed down to the Distillery District where they had one of their fist dates (It was a little warmer this time, Anobel's first experience with Canada was the Polar Vortex!).

We finished off the night with a few pictures out at Polson Pier which has such an amazing view of the downtown Toronto skyline.

Spent a great evening with Kaylen + Robert in Waterloo for their engagement session.  We started off with with a few of their favourite spots in Waterloo Park and then headed to uptown Waterloo and the Seagram Lofts.

The actually just got married last weekend with a fantastic ceremony and reception at Federation Hall on the University of Waterloo campus in Waterloo.
