Ancaster Mill Wedding

Jennifer + Conan

Jennifer + Conan were married this august at the Ancaster Mill... click the link to see their downtown Toronto engagement session

Right off the bat, the first thing you notice is the dress... bright red.  This was my first wedding with a dress that wasn't some form of white and I have to say that I loved it.  It was such a great pop of colour throughout the day.

Jennifer began the day getting ready at her parents house with Fiona Man doing a great job with the makeup!

Conan and the boys showed up for some traditional door games... some women's underwear, some seaweed leaves and a nice test of his Chinese vocabulary.  :)

Once Jennifer and Conan had finally seen each other and some family pictures at the house it was off to Canterbury Falls for some pictures with the couple and wedding party.  I've shot a bunch of weddings at Ancaster Mill but honestly had no idea that such a great photo location was just 5 minutes down the road!

Ancaster Mill has a beautiful outdoor chapel... which was even more beautiful since the rain held off!

We finished the day with dinner and a great reception in the Governor's Room at the mill.

Ontario Cottage Wedding

Great wedding with Laura and Nick at her families cottage in Ontario near Lake Eugenia.

he entire day was centred around a cottage that Laura's grandparents had owned for decades.  Even the guys were getting married in a cottage just down the road!

The ceremony was in a small little country church and then we headed off to the Lake Eugenia conservation area that has an amazing waterfall.

Then it was back to the cottage for a few more portraits on the waterfront and a great reception under canvas in the backyard.

Ontario Farm Wedding

Samara + Chris

Back in June I had the amazing opportunity to photograph a wedding the the super talented Fer Juaritsi... even better than that, the wedding was Chris + Samara's amazing wedding on his parents farm in Ontario.   Samara + Chris are actually both wedding photographers themselves so there was that added bit of pressure to get some great images.

Here are some of my favourite images that I captured, head on over to Fer's blog to see his post from this beautiful wedding.

WhistleBear Wedding

Michelle + Mark's Wedding

Michelle and Mark had a beautiful wedding at the brand new (and I do mean new!) WhistleBear Golf course in Cambridge, Ontario.  The new clubhouse and facilities at Whistle Bear are simply stunning!

We started off the day with Michelle and the girls getting their hair and makeup done at Voila Salon in Waterloo and then headed to the hotel to finish things up.  From there it was on the Whistle Bear for a first look (such a great idea, check it out and more in my top 10 wedding tips!)and some portraits on the grounds and then a beautiful outdoor ceremony officiated by Trish from Kettle Creek Weddings who did an amazing job as always!

A few more quick portraits in the nice golden hour light and then it was off to a great reception in on of their brand new event spaces!

Langdon Hall Intimate Wedding

Sharlene + Greg

This wedding sets the record... as the smallest wedding I've ever photographed.  It was also one of the my favourites!

While there might have only been 9 people (that's including Sharlene + Greg!) at this wedding it wasn't lacking in anything... great moments, great people, lot's of emotions and a beautiful day.  It was really amazing to see how close these two families were even before they officially become one!

Langdon Hall was the perfect setting for Sharlene + Greg's wedding... the guys started the day off with an archery lesson on the front lawn while Sharlene and the girls spent a relaxing day getting hair and makeup done by one of Sharlene's close friends.

Sharlene used to be a chef and one of the biggest reasons for choosing Langdon Hall for their wedding was to have one of her mentors, chef Jason Bangarter, lovingly prepare an amazing meal for their wedding.  The food at Langdon Hall is simply on another level from any other wedding venue and Chef Jason is the reason why!
