Toronto Wedding Photography

Nicole + Bobby

Such an amazing day with Nicole & Bobby for their Toronto wedding.  We spent most of the day dodging rain drops but my lucky rabbits foot kept working and we stayed dry. :)

My day started with the boys at Bobby's parents house which, like when any Greek wedding, was full of people, energy and laughter.

Then off to Nicole at her house for the girls getting ready with hair and makeup.

This wedding also provided a first for me in over almost 200 weddings... When we got to the church for Nicole + Bobby's Orthodox Greek wedding the wedding before theirs was late and only about half done!

After the ceremony it was off to Black Creek Pioneer Village for some portraits of the families, wedding party and the couple!

The reception at Fontana Primavera Event Centre was amazing and featured everything from giant fireballs at the flambĂ© station to a fantastic bellydancer entertaining the guests between courses and a live drummer on the dance floor.

Ancaster Mill Wedding

Jennifer + Conan

Jennifer + Conan were married this august at the Ancaster Mill... click the link to see their downtown Toronto engagement session

Right off the bat, the first thing you notice is the dress... bright red.  This was my first wedding with a dress that wasn't some form of white and I have to say that I loved it.  It was such a great pop of colour throughout the day.

Jennifer began the day getting ready at her parents house with Fiona Man doing a great job with the makeup!

Conan and the boys showed up for some traditional door games... some women's underwear, some seaweed leaves and a nice test of his Chinese vocabulary.  :)

Once Jennifer and Conan had finally seen each other and some family pictures at the house it was off to Canterbury Falls for some pictures with the couple and wedding party.  I've shot a bunch of weddings at Ancaster Mill but honestly had no idea that such a great photo location was just 5 minutes down the road!

Ancaster Mill has a beautiful outdoor chapel... which was even more beautiful since the rain held off!

We finished the day with dinner and a great reception in the Governor's Room at the mill.

Ontario Cottage Wedding

Great wedding with Laura and Nick at her families cottage in Ontario near Lake Eugenia.

he entire day was centred around a cottage that Laura's grandparents had owned for decades.  Even the guys were getting married in a cottage just down the road!

The ceremony was in a small little country church and then we headed off to the Lake Eugenia conservation area that has an amazing waterfall.

Then it was back to the cottage for a few more portraits on the waterfront and a great reception under canvas in the backyard.

Check out a few of my favourite wedding images as well as the full slideshow below.

Ontario Farm Wedding

Samara + Chris

Back in June I had the amazing opportunity to photograph a wedding the the super talented Fer Juaritsi... even better than that, the wedding was Chris + Samara's amazing wedding on his parents farm in Ontario.   Samara + Chris are actually both wedding photographers themselves so there was that added bit of pressure to get some great images.

Here are some of my favourite images that I captured, head on over to Fer's blog to see his post from this beautiful wedding.

Leica Wedding Photography

Just a quick update with my little experiment with Leica... read my initial review here!

I'm bringing the camera along to every single wedding and commercial job I shoot and am slowly getting more confident with it.  Focussing is still a challenge but it's slowly coming together.

Check out the gallery above for some recent wedding photographs I've taken with the Leica M9.

And here's one of our youngest son taking a bath in nice light... :)
